You may get to the terminal by Car Hire, Taxi, Public Transport and Shuttle Service.
Public Transport: Malta Public Transport operates a number of bus routes which link the airport to various localities around Malta. The “X” Routes will take you to most localities on the island, with various stops along the way, whilst the Tallinja Direct Routes (TD Routes) will take you directly to your destination.
Further information about these routes is available here: https://www.publictransport.com.mt/en/airport-services.
Shuttle Service: Malta Transfer is MIA’s official hotel shuttle service. This service may be booked through their website here: https://www.maltatransfer.com/.
Car Hire: Car hire companies have allocated booths and offices inside Park East. You may find more information about renting a car on our website: https://www.maltairport.com/passenger/getting-here/renting-a-car/.
Taxi: Taxi services between MIA and any destination in Malta are available 24 hours a day. Pre-paid tickets can be purchased at fixed rates from the taxi booth in our Welcomers’ Hall upon your arrival.
Alternative transport options: NextBike, a Public Bike Sharing system, has also set up a bicycle terminal just outside our Welcomers’ Hall’s side exit. GoTo electric cars and scooters are also available for rent from the airport’s main car park.
